Born in Busselton WA, Sarah Francis is a contemporary dance artist, emerging director and producer.

Sarah trained at West Australian Academy of Performing Arts, completing her Bachelor of Arts in Dance in 2019.

So far in 2025 Sarah has performed in Sydney Festival with Dance Makers Collective in 'ALL IN', production managed and directed 'Smile: The Story of Charlie Chaplin' in Perth, Adelaide and Melbourne and performed at the Nannup Music Festival in 'FLOW', created by Chrissie Parrott AO.

In 2024 Sarah performed in the original 'FLOW' by Chrissie Parrott AO, assistant directed and understudied 'DATASET' with Australian Dance Party (ACT), performed with live jazz musicians at 'Sound Explorations' (ACT), collaborated on two emerging artist dance works in Sydney for Sydney Fringe, created and performed the first draft of 'WILD-LIFE' with musician Alex Winner through Kickstart Arts Festival, supported by Propel Youth Arts and pvi collective. Sarah also took up the opportunity to work with Dance Makers Collective in Sydney through their Future Makers Program (NSW), and Perth Festival in the 'Connect Lab' to kickstart the year.

During 2020-2022 Sarah was the primary contemporary dance teacher, and assistant ballet teacher at Dunsborough School of Ballet, creating over seven dance works and inspiring joy in many children.
