Aqua Limina: The Pulse of Water, Creek to Coast

Aqua Limina: A Living Pulse, Creek to Coast invites audiences to think locally and holistically about water's role in culture and ecology and through the water systems of Southeast QLD. Curatorially the exhibition evokes a poetic and ecological journey through the water inviting exploration into transitional, emotional, and imaginative spaces where water shapes identity, memory, and art. It bridges Bachelardian dream-poetics with a grounded sense of place and ecology.

"Aqua Limina" is a powerful collaboration of artists from across Southern Queensland diving deep into how water shapes our culture and creativity. Unlike a solo or small-group show, Aqua Limina is an accelerated collaboration, representing a wide spectrum of voices and practices over three sites.

Exhibition Experience - The exhibition is activated across three distinct venues, running from 2nd April to 18th of April 2026.

The Launch Thursday, April 2nd at 3:00 PM

We begin at the Robina Community Art Gallery (196 Robina Town Centre Dr, Robina Q 4226)) for an opening reception and a thought-provoking panel discussion.

The Award Celebration Saturday, April 11th at 2:00 PM

Join us amidst the greenery of Tallebudgera Valley at the Hand Bent Banana Art, Nature and Health Centre (335 Petsch Creek Road) Tallebudgera Q 4228)as we honour the exceptional talent of our artists.

The Grand Finale Friday, April 17th 5.00PM

We conclude with a night of celebration at The Hive Art Gallery (23/5 Coghill Dr Currumbin Waters Q 4223), where we will announce the winner of the People’s Choice Award.
