Come face to face with Prime Ministers, Presiding Officers and see the historic artwork of the founding of Australia’s Parliament on a guided tour of key artworks from the Historic Memorials Collection.

Discover insights into Australia’s political leaders and artists and explore changes in the history of portraiture in Australia.

The collection is Australia's longest running art commissioning program and offers a unique record of the intersection of art and politics.

You will see well known portraits, including William Dargie's portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, Ivor Hele's portrait of Robert Menzies and Clifton Pugh’s portrait of Gough Whitlam.
