Wetland Warriors at Archerfield Wetlands
Description
Come and help us restore the bushland habitat of Archerfield Wetlands in Durack.
Archerfield Wetlands is a 150 hectare parkland located at the confluence of Hanleys, Blunder and Oxley Creeks. It is home to one of Brisbane’s largest floodplain wetland ecosystems and supports over 170 different bird species.
The Wetland Warriors Bushcare group is working to rehabilitate sections of native bushland along Blunder Creek by removing invasive weeds and replanting with native species.
If you would like to lend a hand in caring for this beautiful area, then why not join us at our next session. Everyone is welcome to attend, and no prior Bushcare experience is necessary - we'll teach you everything you need to know.
Please remember:
To wear enclosed shoes and sun-safe clothing (e.g. long pants, long-sleeve shirt)
