Architecture for the Next 150

A conversation about how architecture can shape Colorado’s next 150 years.

Colorado’s architectural history is defined by iconic designs, pioneering architects, innovative practices, and extraordinary places. That legacy offers more than a record of where we have been, it provides a foundation for imagining what comes next.

Architecture for the Next 150 brings together members of the AIA Colorado Board of Directors and architectural leaders from across the state for a series of conversations about Colorado’s design future.

Panel discussions will consider what architecture can learn from the past, how evolving approaches to housing can meet the needs of people and place, and how shared spaces can strengthen our communities. The program will conclude with a audience Q&A.

Together, we will celebrate the architects and ideas that have shaped Colorado while considering the profession’s role in keeping our communities vital for generations to come. Rather than focusing only on what is wrong, we will imagine what could go right, and explore how design can help make it possible.
