Introduction to Radio Communications
Date: 11-14 June 2024
Daily time: 10:00 am–12:30 pm (AEST)
Duration: 4 x 2.5hr sessions (10hrs total)
Cost: ARCIA Member = $1160 +GST ; Non-member = $1450 +GST
This course introduces students to radio communication and associated technologies. Modules include an overview of radio service as a transmission media, how transmitters and receivers work, and an overview of wave propagation and radio antenna systems.
The information is introductory and designed for all audiences. Students will acquire a basic understanding of radio communications theory. This course is designed for students (individuals) who are new to the radio/critical communication industry.

- Filters and Multi-coupling
- Tower and Site
- Power Systems
- Earthing

- Standards and Quality Control
The information is introductory in nature and designed for all audiences. Participants will acquire a basic understanding of radio communications theory.
Attendees will be sent instructions with a link and any additional information required, such as workbooks, prior to the course start date.
After the completion of the course, attendees will receive a Certificate of Attendance. After the course, an assessment will be distributed online, with answers submitted for marking by our course trainer. On completion of marking, those that achieve a pass will be issued with a Certificate of Competency, accredited by ARCIA.
