We’re excited to bring the ARCIA Critical Communications Conference to Adelaide for the very first time in September 2025!

Join us at The National Wine Centre on Thursday, 11 September for a full day of expert presentations, thought leadership and connection. The conference program is packed with insights tailored for professionals working in or supporting the radio and critical communications sector.

Then, cap off the day at the much loved SA State Networking Dinner, a long-standing highlight on the ARCIA calendar. EXPRESSION OF INTEREST OPEN - ADELAIDE TRAINING OPPORTUNITY

LAND MOBILE RADIO: ANTENNA AND TRANSMISSION LINE FUNDAMENTALS AND TESTING

ARCIA is seeking expressions of interest for a face-to-face training course in Adelaide.

If you or your team are interested in gaining foundational knowledge and practical skills in antenna and transmission line systems for land mobile radio, we’d love to hear from you. If we receive enough interest, we’ll proceed with hosting the course!

About the course!

This full-day course introduces participants to land mobile radio base station antenna fundamentals, including:

Antenna systems and transmission line theory
Set up and calibration of antenna test equipment
Interpreting test results and applying them in real-world settings

It’s ideal for those new to the radio or critical communications industry, or anyone wanting to solidify their understanding of antenna systems. A basic knowledge of radio communication and frequency concepts is recommended.

Participants will complete a written and practical assessment on the day. A pass mark of 75% is required to receive an ARCIA Certificate of Competence.
