"Are we having any fun? What we getting out of living? Who cares for what you've got if you're not having any fun?" 

Join Australia's leading sustainability educators, Good for the Hood for a night of connection, joy and fun spent with people who are making a difference. 

Working to shape a better world is tough. Burnout and loneliness is real. But it doesn't have to be this hard. Approaching the big problems with serious intent is important, but it doesn't mean we shouldn't find joy and fun. But how? Join us to unlock some secrets from those who are making it happen.

About our Panellists:

Gilbert Rochecouste

Gilbert is the Father of placemaking and community renewal in Australia. With over 30 years of experience he brings his love of great places and finding joy to all he does. Gilbert founded regenerative placemaking champions, Village Well and has helped shape communities all over Australia and the world. 

Petrina Haslam

Petrina is a sustainable florist who finds her joy in growing the most magical garden and sharing her story with the world through social media. Petrina's Instagram and Tiktok accounts are filled with inspiring and uplifting content which is driven by her passion for nature and creativity. Petrina is a testament to what can be achieved when joy and fun are the goals, not just a side effect of the work you want to do. 

Jason Tampake

Jason is a collaboration designer, facilitator and passionate gamer. The founder of the Amble Studio startup, he uses gameful design to engage community and help people learn, work and play better together. One of their favourite games being played currently with community is the award winning The Adaptation Game (TAG).


Jo Taranto

Jo is founder of Good for the Hood and a seriously playful thought leader on community sustainability and circularity through place-based approaches. Jo is an advocate for having fun while you do hard things.
