About the facilitator

Rinna Soriano is a Waldorf Teacher.  July 14 is a special day for her because it was the day 26 years ago when her father suffered a massive stroke leaving him “speechless” and paralyzed in his right extremities.  When his granddaughter Francesca was at the Manila Waldorf School her teacher Mary Joan Fajardo suggested that he do some wet-on-wet watercolour painting which the children did in school.  That started his journey into the healing arts.  One of his earlier painting exhibits was called, “Blessed by Illness… It all started with one stroke!”

For the past 25 years, Rinna has found inspiration and meaning in the ideas shared by Rudolf Steiner on human beings and their practical applications in life.  Having been trained previously in business and finance, as well as woodworking, and learning profoundly from her experience of caring for her father, witnessing his life from action to passion, she found joy and comfort  is seeing the thread of the essence of being human  offered by anthroposophy living in the various fields of work that she found interest in, seemingly unrelated before, but all relating wonderfully like a bouquet of flowers held in one’s hand, to be offered to a loved one.  Or a watercolour painting, perhaps,  with colours singing in harmony.
