Event description

Learn to etch and carve print artworks.

This is a skills-based art workshop exploring how to create prints. We’ll start with some simple printmaking exercises to warm up, including printing usual natural and man-made materials. We’ll learn some sketching and composition skills before moving onto creating an etching and experimenting with the printing process.

This workshop is designed for young artists aged 12 - 16. We have two teaching artists in every workshop and cap participants at 15 students, meaning there is plenty of one-on-one support.

To note:

  • Parents/guardians will be asked to sign children in upon arrival and provide a contact number for the day. Children must be picked up from the workshop by a parent/guardian.
  • Art making is messy, please wear clothes that are not precious.
  • Snacks are welcomed.
