Meaningful Art for Purpose: Whale watercolour workshop with Jaimee Paul & Bob Brown Foundation
Description
It's common to feel anxiety around the environmental issues that the world is facing, whether you are young and learning about them for the first time, or an adult who feels deeply for the state of the world. Bob Brown is passionate about turning that anxiety into action, and a great way to do this is through creativity.
Join the incredible watercolour artist Jaimee Paul for a whale-painting workshop: learn to paint a humpback whale, and hear about Bob Brown Foundation's Antarctica campaign whilst you paint.
That night (Saturday 26th September), there is a free public International Whale Celebration where we invite you to bring your whale painting to display!
The event is part of the 70th International Whaling Commission meeting taking place in Hobart from 27th Sept until 3rd October. On Monday 28th September, join us for a fun protest against whaling outside the event with your whale paintings on a stick from 7.30am!
Open to age 13+. All materials provided - wear clothes you don't mind getting a bit of watercolour paint on.
