Event description

Hey there! If you are curious about this event, I have detailed some more information below. If you have any other queries, please feel free to contact Kiandra - 0460850971 - and I will be happy to help :)

What will we be doing?

Tapping into our intuitive creativity! We will have some warm-up activities to get into a flow state and out of the chattering mind, some embodiment and mindfulness practices, before getting into a main art activity. The creative process will be not “guided” as much as “inspired”. We really want to emphasise the importance of your uniqueness, your own personal flow and doing what feels good to you - right here and right now. If you want to follow each suggestion to an absolute T, that’s completely welcome. If you want to scrunch up the paper and call it abstract origami art - we support your process, darling! This is a safe space for you to be exactly as you are. To conclude our afternoon, we will have an opportunity to share with each other our art and our heart, as much as feels good to you in the moment. We will hold space for each other to express and to feel, practicing compassionate listening and connection. We will create a little bubble, a family, a community, to create and to be.

Where will we be?

This month we will meet in Main Arm (a 10 minute drive out of Mullumbimby). We will gather together outside, so bring sun and insect protection if those things are important to you. As well as anything that would make you feel at home, a cushion, a blanket, a mug, some tasty snacks, essential oils that make your heart smile.

Parking is limited, so if you’re coming with a friend we recommend you car-share (the earth will be grateful too).

What to bring?

Your authentic self and a willingness to explore! Wear whatever you feel like you can relax in, any food or drinks that will satisfy your body, cushions or blankets to get comfy with, any art supplies that you feel deeply connected to and if you have one - your journal! Although, all of this is optional as we will have all art supplies provided and paper to write on if you don’t have or want to bring your journal. We have an abundance of cushions to sit on and mugs to sip tea from. We’ve got you sorted, the extras are up to you.

Art experience or “skill” is not needed nor is it the point of this experience. We are here to play not to perfect. So don’t let being “bad at art” hold you back. Additionally, if you are coming as an experienced or professional artist, I invite you to bring a beginners mind, to be open and curious to what new things you can explore, be a fool and surprise yourself.
