Art Forum - Fran Reeve, 2023 Rosamond McCulloch Paris Studio Residency

During this presentation I will speak on my time undertaking the Rosamond McCulloch studio residency in Paris, and how this experience has influenced my artistic and performance practices. I will discuss some influential experiences I had whilst abroad, such as attending various circus and puppetry-based conventions/festivals, as well as influences I found within Paris and the Cite des Arts itself. 

Bio: 

Fran Reeve is a multidisciplinary visual and performing artist living and making work in lutruwita, Tasmania. Fran is inspired by themes of connection through eye-contact, honesty and energetic flow between all things, particularly people. Fran’s current practice brings together sculptural and performance practices to make something entirely new, moving into the realm of prop and object-based performance, such as can be found in circus and puppetry.
