Art of Nature: Nature Mandala - Children’s Workshop @ Winter’s Deep – A Gathering of Heathens 🌱

Gather with new friends to create a beautiful Nature Mandala, honouring the magic of the land and its many spirit kin! This playful, earth-connected workshop invites children to explore the beauty of nature through creative expression, shared storytelling, and a deepened relationship with the more-than-human world.

Led by Hearthfire Grove, this workshop weaves together art, nature connection, fairies and friendship in a fun, collaborative experience for children aged approximately 6 - 13!

What to Expect:

• Learn what a mandala is and how they’ve been used in many cultures as a symbol of connection and balance 🌼 
• Chat about fairies, land spirits and our responsibility to care for the Earth 🧚‍♀️
• Head out on a nature walk to gather beautiful natural items (ethically and with permission!)🌲
• Work together to create a group Nature Mandala using your found treasures 🎨
• Practice sharing, patience, and teamwork as we create something magical together 🌿
• Circle up and talk about what we loved 
• Each child can take home a special token from the mandala 💚
  

Workshop Flow:

• Welcome Circle – Introductions and setting intentions
• Group Chat – What is a mandala? Why is it special? How do we work with nature respectfully?
• Nature Walk – Collect leaves, twigs, feathers, flowers and other magical bits with care
• Mandala Magic – Work as a group to co-create a beautiful earth offering
• Sharing Circle – Sit in gratitude around the mandala and share your favourite parts
• Take a Token – Take home a small piece from the mandala to remember the experience
  

This workshop encourages creativity, cooperation, respect for the land and a touch of fairy wonder - all while playing outdoors and making something beautiful together! No screens to see here!
