Art on Saturdays: Botanical Gardens, drawing and painting with Janet Leith

Saturday 1 March, 10AM-4PM

Pine, sage, forest, lime, mint, olive, jade are just a few of the many hues of green that you will explore in this one-day workshop that will focus on drawing and painting botanicals using the Benalla Gardens as inspiration.

Participants will spend a short time investigating and drawing plant shapes prior to working in the gallery studio.

Janet will teach nuances of color mixing with acrylic paint, creating instructional swatches of green hues and how best to work with this somewhat challenging color, before developing a botanically inspired painting.
