CELEBRATING WOMEN
Jessica Ainsworth
Kissing the Cobra
Delicious acrylics, texture, colour, movement, whimsey, narrative, often with a dash of hidden meaning. I love working with my hands, heart and
mind and every painting holds another piece of the puzzle that represents who I am, and in that discovery, one of the greatest joys can
be revealed of what it means to be not only a woman, but an old woman.
For Jessica painting is a journey of thoughts and feelings and a marvellous way to explore the inner life.
Simone Eisler
Simone Eisler is a Kin Kin-based artist who explores the concepts of transformation and evolution in the natural world, including the impacts of climate change and species adaptation. She investigates future worlds, ancient worlds, nature's victory over industry, and evolutionary shifts from sea to land to birds.
Furthermore, she explores museology and the ways we present our natural history. Her diverse practice includes small-scale sculptures, performative photographs, and large-scale installations. She is well known for her extensive range of public artworks and has exhibited widely throughout Australia and internationally.
Strange Magic – The Pollinators
This exhibition creates a unique fairytale world filled with beings that have evolved from animals yet exhibit human characteristics. This sombre environment highlights our changing natural landscape and underscores the significance of maintaining its fertility.
