Feel & Create: School Holiday Art Workshops for Kids — DIY Stamps
Bring your little one along for an hour of creative play, all about feeling and expressing through art. This session is all about learning the process of creating stamps from foam and cardboard, simple materials transformed into something they've made entirely by hand.
This isn't about walking away with a perfect piece of art. It's about the making: the mess, the choices, the focus, the fun. Our sessions are built around process over final product, with a gentle emotional check in to start, plenty of hands on creative time, and a relaxed wrap up to finish.
Led by: Rocio, a collage artist, and Catalina, an ANZACATA registered art therapist, working together to make this a genuinely calming, expressive space for kids, not just an art class.
What to expect:
✔ 1h15 session: breathing and check in, stamp making, wrap up and share
✔ Process led workshop
✔ All materials provided
✔ Small groups (max 10) for a relaxed, unhurried pace
✔ Kids take their handmade stamps home
Ages 4 to 6. Parents welcome to stay outside the art room, there are windows around so you can follow along, however space inside is limited, although this can also run as a drop off session.

Parking:
Plenty of parking is available near the library and community centre.
Street parking is available along Marcus Road, as well as down the football club driveway on the southern side of the library

✔ Please keep your child home if unwell (refunds available up to 3 days prior)
✔ Water only, no food, we're an allergy friendly venue
✔ Let us know of any specific allergies in the booking form

FAQs
- Is this a drop-off activity?
Not strictly, you're welcome to stay outside (glass room) if you'd like! We just don't have heaps of space inside. Totally your choice.
- Can my child bring a snack?
No food, sorry, with allergies in the mix we can't manage it safely. Water only, but we'll make sure they're well looked after for the session.
- Do I need to bring any materials?
Nope, we've got it all covered! Just bring your little one (and yourself, if you're staying).
- How is this different to a regular kids' art class?
Our focus is on emotional regulation and the process of making, not the finished artwork. It's less about a perfect end product, more about the experience of creating, expressing and feeling calm along the way.
- Does my child get to keep what they make?
Yes! Every piece made in class goes home with them.
- Is this art therapy?
Not quite, this is an art class designed to help calm big feelings, using the same kind of thinking an art therapist would bring, but it's not a clinical or therapeutic service. Think of it as creative, calming time led by people who know what they're doing.
- Who we are?
Pegados Collage Studio is a Melbourne based collage and paper craft studio built around creativity, sustainability, and community. Feel & Create is a program run by Rocio, a collage artist and Catalina an ANZACATA registered art therapist, bringing together art making and emotional regulation for kids in a genuinely calming, expressive space.
