Wed, 16 Jul, 10:30am - 1:30pm AWST

Event description

Join us for an enchanting felting workshop! Together we'll explore how to sculpt with felt, creating our own creatures with fabulous outfits, inspired by Brambley Hedge, Frog and Toad, Peter Rabbit, and other much-loved stories of small, handsomely dressed creatures. We'll start with sculpting and felting techniques before sketching our character, bringing them to life with felt, and creating fabulous outfits for them.

This workshop is a blend of creative play and skill-building best for young artists aged 12 - 16.

To note:

  • Parents/guardians will be asked to sign children in upon arrival and provide a contact number for the day. Children must be picked up from the workshop by a parent/guardian.

  • Art making is messy! Please wear clothes that are not precious.

  • Snacks are welcomed, but please bring allergy-friendly foods.

  • Felting uses sharp needles and takes time and patience. Every effort will be made to ensure each participant is well-instructed and guided on how to use felting needles and keep themselves and others safe, but please bear these considerations in mind when deciding if this workshop is right for your child.
