Event description

Above all- ArtCrib is a lot of fun!

On a more serious note: ArtCrib is an annual event with rotating curators and artists, where artists, writers and researchers from a range of disciplines engage in dialogue with communities from Los Angeles, Orange County and the Inland Empire. The residential garden property is an antithetical exhibition space that can bring reflection through looking both inside and out. ArtCrib aims to bring forth discourse and engagement that deconstruct restrains on equity and reconstruct ideas of care and inclusivity.

The annual event is free and all are welcome. Your registration is important. ArtCrib's community of artists and friends share in drinks and food. There is no exchange of money. If someone is interested in purchasing or commissioning artwork, patrons should contact the artist of interest, directly, to have that conversation.

To find ArtCrib at Bonehouse Bridge begin at the corner of College Avenue and First Street in Claremont. Ample parking is available in the overflow lot east of the train station. Follow the sidewalk drawings and garden flags. Your participation is an agreement, not to post or share the private address on social media and not to hold the host responsible for any injury, mishap, sickness or damage to you, your family and/or your personal property while attending ArtCrib.

ArtCrib is always wheelchair accessible. All are welcome. However, it must be clear that ArtCrib does not edit artists' work and all work may not be suitable for all audiences. The curator designs the show and the host takes precautions, when possible, to inform adults, prior to entry, about challenging content, that may offer opportunity to have sensitive discussions with children, should parents choose. Ultimately, parents have the final say on whether or not to include their children in these events. ArtCrib does not consider nudity to be violent or sexually explicit. Please visit the ArtCrib Facebook page for examples of previous events that typically, have included children. This year, there will be a children's library and youth readings involving recently banned books.

Visitors will have the opportunity to learn more about the artists and participants, including the curator and host family through direct contact and URL links in the signage for artists' websites and social media platforms.

SEE YOU OVER THE BRIDGE ON JUNE 7th! Bring your smile and something to share at the community table.
