Art Workshop: 'Call it Out' Respect Women
Event description
2 out of 5 women experience gendered violence from the age of 15, we need to work as a community to bring about change. Let’s promote independence and decision making of our young women in their relationships and challenge beliefs on how women and men could behave.
This free workshop will be a safe space to explore gender equity as a female and respectful relationships through creating individual artworks.
Run by art therapists from Main Road Creative and supported by the City of Ballarat's Youth Services Team, we welcome 14 - 17 year olds to come along and get creative. You will also have the choice to submit your finished artworks into this year's 16 Days of Activism Exhibition running later in the year.
*Young people are welcome to bring a safe person to the workshop if they'd feel more comfortable
