Online Event
Add to calendar

Thu, 18 Sep, 4am - 7am EDT

Event description

Struggling with the budget section of your Regional Arts Development Fund (RADF) application? You’re not alone. A strong budget does more than just add up, it builds confidence in your project and helps funders see exactly how your idea will come to life.

Join this online workshop!

This hands-on workshop has been designed to support artists, creatives, businesses and community groups applying for RADF funding. We'll unpack the numbers, help you understand the expectations, and show how your budget can strengthen your overall application.

The budget section of your grant application is critical — it's one of the most common reasons applications are deemed ineligible and don’t make it through to assessment.

Topics include:

  • Demystifying the RADF budget template – what goes where, how to categorise costs, and common mistakes to avoid.

  • Telling your project story through numbers – aligning your budget with your project outcomes and demonstrating value for money.

  • What council is looking for – understanding in-kind contributions, artist payments, and budget red flags.

  • Getting grant-ready – tips on quotes, evidence, contingencies and creating a realistic financial plan.

This workshop is ideal for emerging applicants and anyone looking to sharpen their grant writing skills and increase their chances of success.
