Trena Everuss’ pastel drawings continue her explorations of “place’ and offer a layered perspective of both the everyday and the abstract. In focusing on the lesser-seen aspects of locations Everuss challenges the viewer to reconsider their perceptions of familiar environments. Critical design elements are playfully manipulated to introduce a sense of distance, intimacy, and mood, and asks us to imagine a deeper, hidden, significance.
