Artist Information Sessions: New Ground - Access in Process

These Artist Information Sessions are designed to support disabled artists considering applying to take part in New Ground - Access in Process. There are two event dates available (August 12th and September 3rd)- the sessions will be the same, so there is no need to attend both.

New Ground - Access in Process is an event featuring work-in-progress performances that provides space for disabled artists to explore new ways of making work with Creatively Embedded Access.

BOP are looking to support two new pieces of performance work which explore creatively embedding access into production from the development stage.

The selected artists/creatives will be given paid time to develop their idea and then present a work-in-progress to a peer and industry audience in late November 2026 with an opportunity for feedback on the piece including on the Creatively Embedded Access elements. <Full information can be found on this webpage>.

Outline of the event:

Welcome and Introduction about the opportunity (15 minutes).

Tips on starting to explore creatively embedding access into your work (visuals will be shared on-screen) (30 minutes).

A chance to ask any questions about the opportunity (20 minutes).

An opportunity to introduce yourself and connect with others if you are still looking for a collaborator for this opportunity! (20 minutes).

Access:

This event will have live captions and sign language interpretation.
