R|Artist Residency: Natural Ecologies – Artist Showing with Nikki Sheth

Nocturnal Wanderings, offers a digitally immersive journey into the hidden soundscapes of Queensland’s nocturnal wildlife captured across three Queensland Biosphere Reserve sites. In a cutting-edge, 360-degree immersive environment international sound artist Nikki Sheth brings this audio-visual journey to life in UniSC’s CAVE2, accompanied by point cloud imagery and video created in collaboration with John Lucy.

During this six-month residency with The Refinery, the work in development showcases Nikki Sheth’s dedication to connecting with the natural world and raising awareness about ecological conservation and the climate crisis, offering a powerful example of how creative technology can inspire change.

5:30pm – Screening 1 (30 mins)  

6:00pm – Meet the Artist  

6:30pm – Screening 2 (30 mins)  

7:00pm – Close  

Nocturnal Wandering runs for 30 mins in length, two screening times are available.

About Nikki Sheth:

Nikki Sheth is a UK-based sound artist and composer, known for using environmental sounds to create immersive soundscapes, installations, and sound walks. Through her work, she aims to deepen connections with nature and bring attention to critical issues surrounding climate change and ecological conservation.
