About the event:

Join us for an intimate evening with Claire Mueller, the visionary artist behind ACID.FLWRS and the headliner of Subi Blooms 2025. Originally from Perth, Claire has gained national recognition for her bold, hyper-coloured floral art, redefining traditional floristry with her signature marbled orchids and futuristic designs.

In this exclusive event, Claire will share the creative process behind "REFLECT", her most ambitious installation to date. She will explore the inspirations, techniques, and emotions that shape her work, offering a rare insight into the mind of an artist pushing the boundaries of floral design.

The evening will also feature a live pearl harvest, presented by Willie Creek Pearls, showcasing another form of natural beauty and craftsmanship. Afterward, guests will take a short walk to experience Claire’s installation in person, immersing themselves in her world of colour, reflection, and wonder. A live harpist will provide a beautiful soundtrack to the evening, with light refreshments served.

This is a unique opportunity to hear from one of Australia’s most exciting floral artists, witness her vision come to life, and celebrate the intersection of art and nature.

Gather - A Floral Community' is run by founders Lara-Rose Bos and Rebecca Const; self-taught florists with over 25 years of combined experience in the world of cut flowers. About Subi Blooms

Taking place over Mother’s Day weekend, Friday 9 May – Sunday 11 May 2025, Subi Blooms is Western Australia’s biggest and most breathtaking display of floral artistry.

Each year, the streets of Subiaco transform into a kaleidoscope of colour and creativity, drawing thousands of visitors to experience large-scale floral installations and botanical wonders. This much-loved event, a highlight on the City of Subiaco’s calendar, brings the community together with a vibrant, festive atmosphere that celebrates artistry, nature, and connection.

In 2025, Subi Blooms x Gather will unveil an exciting new collection of installations, showcase pieces, and a few delightful surprises - ensuring the 2025 edition of Subi Blooms will be the most memorable yet.

About our 2025 Theme “Roots to Bloom”

This theme explores the hidden natural world beneath the surface while also diving into heritage, culture, and family history. We encourage floral artists to incorporate winding branches, living plants, and exposed root structures, and/or tell a story of their own family origins with elements that represent lineage or cultural symbols to create a powerful visual narrative connecting to the artists historical roots. This is the first year Subi Blooms has embraced an overarching theme to tie all artworks together with the thread of a common narrative.
