Artist Talk - Rani Fankha & Alex Desebrock
Event description
Artist Talk: RE:connecting & Tree Listening
Sunday 13 April, 4pm
co-presented with Esperance Community Arts Centre
Join exhibiting artists Rani Fankha (RE:connecting) and Alex Desebrock (Tree Listening) for a relaxed, in-depth tour through their exhibitions at the Cannery Arts Centre.
Rani and Alex will guide you through their creative spaces, sharing the stories, concepts, and techniques behind their works.
RE:connecting explores themes of identity, displacement, and belonging. Through a series of intricate illustrations and expressive paintings, Rani reflects on personal and collective experiences of connection—both lost and rediscovered.
Tree Listening is an evolving residency installation that invites you to slow down, tune in, and listen—not just with your ears, but with your whole being. Through quiet interaction and reflection, it opens a poetic space to connect with the wisdom of trees and the subtle ways they affect us.
Free to attend, with drinks available for purchase.
Spaces are limited—please register to secure your spot.
