Artist talk: Ten Men & Other Stories with Robin Gillanders

Join us for a special afternoon talk with artist Robin Gillanders. Robin will take us on a tour around his current exhibition Ten Men & Other Stories, and offer insight on his portraiture and stories about some of the sitters of his portraits. The talk will be followed by a glass of wine and a casual chat.

Robin Gillanders is a photographic artist based in Edinburgh, Scotland. He is a former Reader in Photography at Edinburgh Napier University and was awarded an Honorary Fellowship in 2016. He has several works in the collection of the Scottish National Portrait Gallery, Edinburgh, City Art Centre, Edinburgh, the V&A, London and National Portrait Gallery, London. He has published six books including The Photographic Portrait (2004) and Ian Hamilton Finlay: Little Sparta and Collaborations (2024). He has exhibited widely and internationally including the Prada Foundation, Venice, Royal Scottish Academy, Edinburgh.
