Join us for an intimate artist talk and reception with Heidi Preuss as she shares insights into her exhibition, The Silver Lining, which will be on display at the Focus Gallery from April 4 to April 30, 2025.

Heidi Preuss Grew is a distinguished two-time recipient of the Oregon Arts Commission Artist Fellowship, recognized for her exceptional figurative sculptures. With an impressive academic background, she holds undergraduate degrees from the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana in German, Art History, and Crafts, and an MFA in Ceramics from Ohio University. Over the course of her career, Heidi has participated in numerous exhibitions, symposia, and residencies across the United States, Europe, and Asia, earning her recognition as a leading voice in contemporary sculpture. She has also shared her expertise through lectures and workshops around the world, inspiring both established artists and emerging talents alike.

During this special event, Heidi will highlight a behind the scenes look at pivotal pieces featured in the exhibition, delve into the materials that resonate with her, and explore the key themes and moments of inspiration that have shaped her artistic journey. This is an opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the ideas and processes that inform Heidi's unique approach to contemporary art.
