    Event description

Updated workshop details: Wednesday 1st of May 10am ACST (GMT+9.30 which is 10.30am in VIC/TAS/NSW and 8.30am in WA)

Online workshops have opened up a world of access options for those seeking self care support. This series of workshops will be accessible to those artists and arts workers in their homes or offices or where ever they can get connected on a laptop or phone!

Whether you are experiencing post-performance/exhibition/event fatigue, have a creative block, wish that you could plan your next project or get clarity on your value as an artist or arts worker, this workshop is for you!

Tanya Voges is a choreographer, dance artist and Creative Arts Therapist. Her interdisciplinary practice spanning 25 years influences this process-based experiential, designed to meet physical, emotional and mental wellbeing goals for practising artists and arts workers.

The online version of the Artist Wellbeing Workshop will nurture your body and mind to support you to cultivate a caring approach to your practice. It's the self-care that you didn't know you needed! During the session, we will move with the intention to regulate the nervous system and use drawing and mark-making to integrate thoughts and experiences within a supportive space.

Bring your notebooks, paper and pencils, pastels or paint pens and set up in a quiet space where you can move around without being disrupted. This session will set you up for at the beginning of the week, and can be done as a single session or you can attend future sessions to work on a regular self care practice. Other sessions are available monthly online at various times to suit arts practitioners working independently or within organisations. In-person workshops are held in various arts institutions and companies around Adelaide, South Australia.
