Lyn is the current Evolve Creative Extension Artist in Residence at the Contemporary Art Spaces Mandurah (Supported by the WA Government and the City of Mandurah)
Lyn Nixon invites you to visit the studio for an intro into her art practice and her current ‘Keeping’ project. In this project she is photographing trinkets, treasures, collectables, bits n bobs’ and any stuff you have around your home.

About Lyn
Lyn Nixon OAM is an artist based on Bindjareb Nyungar country, in the Peel region of Western Australia.
Nixon works with photography, printmaking and incorporates ceramics and multimedia in her installations. Her artistic practice explores contemporary themes around humanity, environmental change and global tensions facing our world today. She examines how humans interact with the built and natural environment, along with our collective and individual response to uncertainty and change. The complexities of human relationships are common themes in her practice.
Nixon holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Curtin University of Technology, Perth and has been a practicing artist since 2015. She brings a unique perspective framed by a life that includes an eclectic professional career that spans developing ice cream products, teaching and the corporate world, along with raising a family. She also represented Australia as an elite cyclist.
