Artists' Talk: Karl Fritsch & Gavin Hipkins, moderated by Sarah McClintock

Join artists Gavin Hipkins and Karl Fritsch, and Aratoi Director Sarah McClintock, for an in-depth discussion of their exhibition Der Tiefenglanz: Deep Gloss. They will cover topics that range from the dangers of collaboration to the myth of authenticity, materiality, value and how to destroy another artist's work.

The talk will be followed by the Opening Celebration of Fritsch and Hipkins' new exhibitions at The Arts House Trust, from 5.30–7.30pm:

• Der Tiefenglanz: Deep Gloss, developed and toured by Aratoi Wairarapa Museum of Art and History, the artists and Hamish McKay Gallery.

• Die Ausgrabung, the first presentation of the project in Tāmaki Makaurau, which was initially exhibited in conjunction with a joint artists’ residency at the Dunedin School of Art, Otago Polytechnic.
