Arts and Crafts Studios is back with our fourth instalment of Arts and Crafts Classes. Join us for Jinan's first class, you’ll blend acrylics to paint a serene, expressive portrait—inspired by your reflections and Jinan’s techniques.

Jinan Dodd is a Māori artist based in Perth, known for his vibrant murals and expressive acrylic portraits. His work blends contemporary techniques with influences from his heritage, focusing on colour, storytelling, and mindful creativity.

What You’ll Learn:

• Colour Blending: Jinan’s techniques for intuitively mixing and layering acrylic paints.

• Portrait Sketching: Simple methods to sketch facial features using basic shapes.

• Abstract Portraiture: Paint a figure using non-traditional colours and expressive brushwork.

• Share the meaning behind your piece in a supportive group setting (optional).
