ASBHA Kalgal Burnbona: A Partnership Between Health and Education

Dr Rungan will be presenting on ’Kalgal Burnbona’, which is a school-based integrated care initiative within Sydney Local Health District. Dr Rungan will describe the frameworks that guided the development of the model of care and the quantitative evaluation of the initiative.

Speakers:

Dr Rungan works in paediatric assessments and management of children with developmental and/or behavioural issues and those who are at risk of such issues. She is currently involved in running a school-based healthcare initiative called ‘Kalgal Burnbona’- a partnership between health and education. She is a PhD candidate currently evaluating this initiative with the aim of replicating a similar model in other high-risk schools.
