ASBN SustainabiliTEA #21 // Buildings as Batteries
Event description
Please join us for another ASBN SustainabiliTEA - a time to enjoy some tea (or morning beverage of your choice) whilst having a yarn about a diversity of topics around sustainable and regenerative built environments.
-------------
Our upcoming SustainabiliTEA session will be with Brad Schultz, Head of Customer Engagement at Buildings Alive
Decarbonising electricity is critical to tackling the climate crisis. Many building owners have pledged Net Zero Carbon before 2030 and while this is commendable, this overlooks important optimisation questions that arise when the increasingly dynamic nature of energy generation, distribution and usage is considered. For the successful provision of an energy grid which is zero carbon 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, buildings – and specifically HVAC – will play critical roles by shifting energy loads to times when wholesale prices and carbon intensities are low. This presentation will explore solutions to this challenge.
We look forward to hearing Brad's insights whilst sharing space with you all virtually with a
soothing cuppa!
