Join us during Nature Festival for Habitat Gardening at Home -part of our Backyards for Biodiversity Series with Habitat Connection Co.
Ideal for gardeners, nature lovers, and anyone wanting to bring more biodiversity into their backyard using native plants. This workshop will give you tips to confidently create and care for a thriving, wildlife-friendly garden.
Topics include:
How to design vibrant, eco-friendly gardens using native species
The role of native plants in supporting local wildlife and pollinators
Practical benefits, like improved soil health and reduced water use
Key elements of habitat gardening (e.g. structure, plant diversity, shelter, water)
Brought to you by Habitat Connection Co. with funding provided by Green Adelaide - this Event is part of a six week "Backyards for Biodiversity" series, other sessions are available for booking here.
Based on Kaurna Country on the Fleurieu Peninsula, Habitat Connection Co. helps people reconnect with nature by creating gardens that support native wildlife and strengthen local biodiversity. Through hands-on workshops and community education, we empower individuals to turn their own backyards into thriving habitat spaces.
Founded by Hannah Jones, a conservation and horticulture professional with over twelve years’ experience in consulting, design and environmental education, Habitat Connection Co. brings together a passion for native plants, ecology, and inspiring others to care for the natural world.
