    Event description

Your research and capabilities have huge potential to make a positive difference in the world.  They can improve our economy, our environment, our society and culture, or all of these.  As researchers, we can make a difference by partnering with industry, government and community groups.  Your university or centre is committed to giving its researchers the skills and support to drive these partnerships.  In this information session, you’ll get a taste of the skills you’ll need to make a difference with your research, and you’ll learn about an intensive training program, Ascend, running August - October, that will help you develop these skills and take your research closer to impact.

This on-line information session will help you:

    • Understand the importance of creating positive impact with your research
    • Get a taste of the skills you’ll need to find and engage with external partners to create this impact
    • Find out and ask questions about the challenging Ascend program, in which you’ll learn and develop these skills: who the program is aimed at, what you’ll learn from the program, and the time commitment required.

    Who is this session for?

Researchers at any career stage, in any discipline, who are interested in making a positive difference in the world with their research and capabilities.

    Presenters

This information session is presented by Cruxes Innovation, the designers and presenters of the Ascend research impact program.  Cruxes helps research organisations and universities unlock the huge potential of Australian research to make a positive difference in the world.  We believe that the best way to do this is to give researchers themselves the skills and support to drive partnerships with industry, community and government.  Since Cruxes was launched in early 2020, we've delivered similar programs to over 600 Australian researchers at 27 universities, in all fields, at all stages of their careers and research projects.
