OC Spruce Up with ASID: Interior Design Consultations!

Does your home need a design refresh or a whole makeover? 

Curious about working with a professional interior designer, but don’t know where to start? 

The Orange County chapter of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) has a solution during its “OC Spruce Up” fundraiser happening this March and April.

For $150 a local ASID member will conduct a one-hour design consultation in your home. 

Based upon your needs, we pair you up with a professional designer to advise you and help you steer clear of pitfalls or mistakes. 

Your fee is a donation to further ASID Orange County’s efforts to promote excellence in design, as our designers generously donate their time.

I purchased my ticket, what is next?

· You will be connected with an ASID designer in your area via email. They will contact you within 7 business days to exchange contact information and schedule your consultation.

Who will be providing my consultation?

· Only experienced professional ASID practicing designers located across Orange County are eligible to meet with clients.

What if my designer has not contacted me within 7 business days?

· Please email at-large@caoc.asid.org for assistance.

How should I prepare for my consultation?

· Be prepared to ask your partnered designer any questions on how the consultation will be conducted. Make a list of your questions and needs to use during the phone call. Collect any visuals or samples that you would like to share with your designer during the appointment.

What can I expect to accomplish within my 1 hour consultation?

· Prioritize your questions so that you may efficiently use the hour consultation with your designer. NOTE: Designers will not do any physical work in your home at this appointment.

What if I cannot get all of my questions answered within my 1 hour consultation?

· If you made a great connection with your partnered designer, consider hiring them to continue working on your project.

What if the partnered designer is not a good fit for my project based on the initial phone call?

· Email at-large@caoc.asid.org to request a different designer. Note: If we are unable to partner you with a designer, you will be refunded the price of your ticket. Refunds will not be made available after the consultation has started.
