Event description

Where could a future in startups take you?

UTS Startups and the Diploma in Innovation are working to connecting UTS students with leaders in the global startup ecosystem, to help you find your next steps in the future of work. Questions, answers, insights and more will be available to those zooming in for this very special event.

About James:

From innovating in the intersections of transport, autonomous vehicles and robotics, to founding various startup companies in Silicon Valley, James Gregory took his Computer Science and Technology degree from Sydney to the world and is now returning (digitally) to walk you through how he did it.

James is a senior software engineer at Zoox, applying the latest in automotive, robotics and renewable energy to design a symmetrical, bidirectional, zero-emissions vehicle from the ground up to solve the unique challenges of autonomous mobility. He is also also the co-founder and CTO of startups Alimium,  Whereoscope and Jam Code and was a distinguished engineer at online games startup, Zynga. James is a Y Combinator school advisor and currently resides in Berkeley, California.

  • Hear about career pathways into web development in the startup ecosystem
  • Network with like-minded students and startup founders (zoom meeting format, not a webinar)
