    Event description

You have set up (or will set up) a company in New Zealand for your business. What should you be aware of?

In this practical session we will consider the basics of limited liability companies in Aotearoa New Zealand. We will consider things like:

    • Duties and powers of shareholders, directors and officers
    • Raising funding and the key things to know
    • The critical documents governing your company like shareholder agreements and a constitution
    • Business critical documents like your terms and conditions of trade
    • Governance of your company
    • Avoiding shareholder disputes
    • Founder dynamics we have seen and how to avoid the ones that cause implosion
    • How to do all the above while staying legally safe.

When attending you will also qualify for a free conversation with one of our team to discuss your situation as well.

Steven Moe is a lawyer who has practised since 2001 and worked in London, Tokyo, Sydney and across New Zealand.

Yang Su is a lawyer who has practised since 2010 and worked in New York, Houston, Shanghai, the Middle East and New Zealand.

They will share practical tips and insights and answer your questions.
