About this event

This dynamic networking event by BREED Australia and Sydney Events Things To Do will help you learn about legal business skills for compliance and risk management.

As part of our new Aspiring Entrepreneurs Networking events series, we invite all local entrepreneurs to participate in a highly engaging and value adding networking event that focuses on the legal basics when starting a business.

Designed specifically for Aspiring Entrepreneurs and featuring insight and learning from business and leadership experts. 

Over a period of two and a half hours, participants will get the chance to learn and network at the BREED Business Centre.

Refreshments and Catering will be provided.

Early bird special ticket price:

$10 ex GST until 16th of September 2022

Due to Covid19 safety measures, only ticket holders will be permitted entry to the event. There will not be any ticket sales on the day.

👤 Roshan Sidhu – Lawyer at Frank Law

  • Lawyer specialising in startup and tech, ex Citibank and ex BCG, has extensive experience across several fields such as Banking and Finance, Legal, Corporate and Public Sector Advisory.
  • Passionate about growing the broader tech and startup ecosystem, always happy to help founders with legal questions and needs.
  • Fun fact: Roshan is a cat dad + coffee snob + long suffering Manchester United fan.

👤 Cristina Hernandez - Director at F1 Tax

Cristina Hernandez is a financial services professional who values dedication, service, and excellence. As a tax specialist and fellow entrepreneur, Cristina works with passion to enable her clients make informed, risk-managed and tax compliant decisions.  This includes business registrations and tailored financial services such as bookkeeping, payroll support, and filing tax returns.

Cristina is Registered Tax Agent with the Tax Practitioners Board, and a business partner for Xero and QuickBooks. Prior to relocating in Australia, she was a Certified Public Accountant, Certified Internal Auditor and Certified Information Systems Auditor (CPA, CIA, CISA) in the Philippines for Sycip, Gorres & Velayo, an Ernst & Young co-firm. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the Ateneo de Naga University, Magna Cum Laude.

Cristina established F1 Tax with a mission of community service through support and employment. Through a tech-savvy approach towards quality outcomes, the company's customer base continues to expand in Sydney, Melbourne, and Tasmania word-of-mouth referrals.

👤 Jeremy Carter - CEO, Rapport Leadership International

Jeremy is the Chief Enthusiasm Officer of Rapport Leadership Australia and has worked as a business and leadership coach, speaker and trainer for the last 20 years helping many hundreds of organisations outperform through smart business strategy, operational excellence and by building high performance teams. He started his career as a computer engineer and worked his way up to being the Oceania Managing Director of the US technology company National Instruments. A specialist in business growth and leadership development, Jeremy knows how to build cultures that enable both people and organisations to achieve their full potential. 

👤 Richard Labrador - Principal Insurance and Risk advisor of Labrador Insurance Brokers Pty Ltd. 

He started his insurance advice career in 2011 at AON an international insurance broking company and moved to local Steadfast insurance brokers in for career progression. He started Labrador Insurance Brokers Pty Ltd in 2020 with Community Broker Network and Steadfast Group, one of the largest broking networks in Australia, to focus on providing general insurance advice and risk management strategies to small to medium size businesses and commercial clients. His team is focused on long-term relationships with their clients while providing quality professional service and insurance products. He uses his experience as a business owner and risk advisor to educate his clients with general insurance products and risk management. Generally, most of Labrador Insurance Brokers’ clients describe him as easy to talk to and helpful with their inquiries.
