March 31st Beginner Poetry Writer Worker or Finding your Voice! (6pm-9pm)

This workshop will be delivered by Loran Steinberg, and it goes for approximately 3 hours (with a break) on a Monday evening, there are spots for 12 participants, and we will be doing a range of reading and writing activities designed to encourage poets to explore a range of writing styles and poetic voices in order to contrast, highlight and explore their own voice and style. These exercises are great for inexperienced poets or poets going through a period of writer's block. It’s also fun and involves a lot of rapid writing exercises. You don’t have to be amazing right off the bat, you just have to put pen to paper.

Please bring a note pad and pen, laptop, phone or other writing device.

Loran Steinberg has been writing, editing and studying poetry since 2012 they have done poetry classes at Monash University and Rmit, as well as crafting, editing and workshopping poetry in private groups. They were a previous editor of POAM, the Melbourne Poets Union Newsletter, and have a book of poetry and short stories available of Kindle, Bits and Pieces .

They encourage everyone to try their hands at writing creatively.
