ASTER's 25th Birthday Party

ASTER Women’s Chamber Choir is 25 years old!

ASTER is excited to be celebrating this landmark birthday.  The Joint will be Jumpin’!  Riddle Songs, Stuttering Lovers, duets, solos and guests playing flute and guitar will liven up this musical party.

We are honored to introduce you to an inspirational piece composed by local singer, author and speaker Sara Giita Flores. I Rise encourages us all to take the risk to blossom. How appropriate for a choir named after a flower!  

The concert includes music by other women composers.  “How Can I Keep from Singing” by Gwyneth Walker, “Breaths” by Sweet Honey in the Rock’s Ysaye M. Barnwell, “She Sings” by Amy F. Bernon and Elaine Hagenberg’s stunning setting of “O Love that Will Not Let Me Go”. 

There is Plenty Good Room for you at the party.  Rumor has it that it will be an Unclouded Day.
