A Taste of Broome (ATOB) will return in 2022 as a three day arts and culture festival, celebrating the unique Indigenous multiculturalism within the community of Broome with local music, art, craft, dance, food, film and culture.

You can purchase single tickets to any of the events over the festival, or receive a 15% percent discount when you purchase over $100 of tickets.

Schedule of Ticketed Events

Thursday 25th August

  • Music & Picture Show: Musical performances from local artists, Nurlu contemporary and traditional dance and local multi-cultural cuisine

Friday 26th August

  • Mabu Buru Tours: Local Yawuru man and tour guide Johani Mamid will be taking tour groups around the Broome Peninsula visiting historic and cultural locations.
  • Stephen Pigram's Fish and Rice Concert: Local music legend and bard, Stephen Pigram presents this one off music and culinary experience. Come listen to Stephen Pigram as he shares songs, stories and recipes in this intimate concert. Each guest will be provided with a serving of Stephen Pigram's world famous Fish Soup and Rice.

Saturday 27th August

  • Broome Film Festival: Goolarri Media presents a selection of short films made in, for and about the Dampier Peninsula. Be entertained by the spectacular creativity and informed by the unique access of our pool of local film makers.
  • Sandfly Circus: Theatre Kimberley’s Act Belong Commit Sandfly Circus will present two exciting and invigorating 20 minute family shows of hilarity and death-defying feats.
  • Yawuru Cultural Experiences: Nymaba Buru Yawuru will be at the festival grounds providing free cultural experiences with festival goers. Come and learn how to make traditional sandals, bake damper and speak Yawuru Ngan-ga.
  • Mabu Buru Tours: Local Yawuru man and tour guide Johani Mamid will be taking tour groups around the Broome Peninsula visiting historic and cultural locations.
  • Kimberley Cooking Experience: Come and experience, taste and learn about our rich culinary history in this interactive, multi-sensory feast.
  • Music & Picture Show matinee: We are excited to announce a matinee version of our massively popular Music and Picture show. Come and be entertained and informed by our regions best musicians and story tellers in this special matinee performance.
