David’s approach to his practice is nothing short of prolific. With a talent for capturing life within the landscape, this collection proves to be an exciting evolution of his work to date. Known for his vivid palette, for this collection David sought to discipline himself to a limited palette of muted colours. Reflecting on his process, David said “I had an idea of painting old rustic objects, when I had a lightbulb moment…what if I gave those old rustic/dead/inanimate objects a hint of coming back to life? I thought it was good timing as we have all been living under a rock for the last two years….and maybe, just maybe there is light at the end of the tunnel. So, “Signs Of Life” became the theme.”
Burnt and Raw Umber, Prussian Blue, Cadmium Yellow, Titanium White and selected bright hues tells a story of new beginnings and the tenacity of new life.
