Event description

ATLVS are heading out on a roadtrip for the first time in 2023 after such a successful and whirlwind 2022. Having released their sophomore EP “The Wound, The Blade” in June last year, the Gippsland quintet have not slowed down, touring relentlessly off its success.  ATLVS have been knuckling down over the last few months to write some new material, and while it is all being finalized, they have decided to visit all their friends up and down the east coast one last time before releasing new songs in the second half of 2023.

The “Gotta catch ‘em all tour” is tailored to celebrating the friends and fans that make ATLVS the family that it has become, playing small venues to give everyone an intimate up-close experience of their fierce live show. So bring your Pokeballs and prepare to battle it out in the pit with them!

Joining their friends in ATLVS, Vilify are finally hitting the road to tour their latest collection of singles that are yet to be played outside of their home state. Due to the uncertainty that came with live shows due to the pandemic the band made a conscious effort in 2022 to spend the time at home writing, recording and playing as many supports in their own state as they could to hone in on their sound, new material and work on their live presence.

Vilify spent the latter part of 2022 sharing the stage with Northlane, Erra, Paledusk, Void Of Vision, Diamond Construct, The Gloom In The Corner, Nicolas Cage Fighter and many more before heading back into the studio early 2023 with producer Chris Blancato to work on a new direction and sound, coming to fruition with their latest single ‘Take The Pill’. Their newer, more refined sound is still filled with the angst, heaviness and sadness as their earlier releases, but with a much bigger and more atmospheric fluorescence. ‘Take The Pill’ received a very positive reception from a wide ranging audience and received radio play across Triple J’s Home and Hosed, The Racket and Short.Fast.Loud, gaining praise for their ability to produce such a heavy, yet palatable sound with the potential to bring new fans over to the heavy scene as they walk the line between catchy and heavy. Vilify have been locked up this year writing and recording what will become their new modus operandi and they are eager to see it in during the Vilify X Atlvs tour.
