Huatuojiaji Points and Spinal Offsets: A Zang Fu Perspective
It was Hua Tuo, an important physician of the Han dynasty, who insightfully recognized the relationship between the spine, the organs and their associated channels. In this presentation, we will discuss common postural and spinal deviations that an acupuncturist can observe, which can contribute to zang fu signs and symptoms of our patients. Assessment, acupuncture needle techniques using the Huatuojiaji points and a few myofascial structural integration hand techniques will be shown to help align functional spinal curves and offsets that are perpetuating organ dysfunction.
In this webinar, we will cover:
- Introduction of Hua Tuo and Huatuojiaji Points
- HTJJ relationship between the extremities and the zang fu organs via the dorsal primary rami
- Spinal Bends and Spinal Offsets
- Common postures that contribute to zang fu disorders
- Acupuncture needle technique
- Myofascial techniques that are useful for these conditions.
