ATSI Mental Health First Aid Training hosted by Kunjur FNMC
Description
Overview
This training strengthens our capacity to respond with confidence and care during mental health challenges in community. It builds practical skills to recognise early signs of distress, hold grounded and supportive conversations, and act in culturally safe ways. The approach is guided by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander understandings of social and emotional wellbeing and shaped through First Nations expertise. Participants learn how to offer initial support to an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander adult experiencing a mental health problem or crisis until appropriate professional or cultural support is in place.
