Attracting Native Pollinators with Native Plants with Maryanne Pittman — Nov. 18, 2026
Description
Did you know that there are many hundreds of California native pollinator species? Join us as we introduce the fascinating world of these pollinators, including bees, butterflies, moths, and birds. We'll explore the art of creating thriving habitats for these vital creatures by cultivating native plants in your home, community, or container garden.
California stands out as a botanical paradise, boasting an astonishing diversity of plant life, with over 7,000 native species, a third of which are exclusive to the state. These indigenous plants play a crucial role in supporting a rich and diverse wildlife population, including native pollinators.
Whether you're a beginner or an experienced gardener seeking to deepen your understanding, this class offers valuable insights into pollinator lifecycles, native plant selection, and garden maintenance practices that support and welcome wildlife. Cultivate your own pollinator garden and become part of a community dedicated to preserving California's rich biodiversity while enhancing the beauty and health of our surroundings.
