POCUS Fundamentals + EGLS
2 Days of Comprehensive POCUS education for Acute Care Clinicians
Take part in a flexible learning experience designed for real-world acute care:
- Day 1: POCUS Fundamentals
Master the essentials – focus on AAA & eFAST. - Day 2: EGLS (Echo Guided Life Support)
Confidently assess and manage the shocked patient using focused cardiac and lung ultrasound.
Attend either day independently, or combine both for a complete acute care ultrasound experience.
Day 1 – POCUS Fundamentals

Day 2 – EGLS (Echo-Guided Life Support)
Take your resuscitation skills to the next level with EGLS. Learn a structured, protocolised approach to using cardiac and lung ultrasound in the assessment and management of shock and respiratory failure. This course is designed to empower acute care clinicians with the practical skills to make rapid, life-saving decisions.
Combo of Fundamentals + EGLS - Whether you're new to ultrasound or looking to enhance your skills, this comprehensive two-day course is ideal for acute care clinicians aiming to integrate POCUS into daily practice.
You'll cover the core emergency medicine ultrasound modules: FELS, eFAST, AAA, and lung. The course aligns with ACEM and ASUM credentialing requirements for core ultrasound modalities.
By the end, you'll be proficient in four essential techniques: focused echo in life support (FELS), extended FAST, aortic scanning, and lung/thoracic ultrasound.
The program includes online pre-course work, brief lectures, image review, hands-on scanning, and networking opportunities—all within a supportive learning environment.
Suitable for all experience levels:
- ACEM trainees beginning their ultrasound journey
- Acute care doctors looking to upskill
- Clinicians in critical care, rural, and urgent care settings
- Beginners will build a solid foundation; experienced users can refine skills with expert feedback
