All Things AuDHD & Sex!
Description
Do you feel like there are all of these un-written rules about sex and intimacy? Do you feel like sex is not what you've been told it's "supposed" to be?
You're not alone - a lot of us feel this way, but it's really hard to find spaces to talk about it.
I'm Tara (they/them), a queer, non-binary AuDHD Accredited Social Worker and Sex Therapist. I'm running this online community workshop for AuDHD folks (and those who support us) to create an affirming space to learn more about:
Defining Sex: Expanding beyond narrow, definitions to make room for the full spectrum of sex, intimacy and pleasure.
Desire vs. Arousal: Different types of desire, mapping our turn ons vs turn offs, and how this all impacts arousal.
Neurotypical Sexual Scripts: Calling out the unspoken cis-gendered, hetero-normative and neurotypical rules around sex, and re-writing them to serve us instead.
Affirming Consent & Communication: Using the FRIES model to explore what consent actually is, and AuDHD affirming communication strategies to use during sex that you might not have thought of.
Sensory Considerations: Think: visuals, textures, sounds, smells and taste - how we can add more of what feels good, and how we can avoid the icks!
Aftercare: What it is, why it matters, and how to negotiate care that actually feels good for you (spoiler: it's not one-size-fits-all).
LGBTIQA+ Identities: Exploring diverse sexualities and gender identities.
BDSM & Kink: Exploring why many AuDHD'ers enjoy BDSM and kink dynamics.
There are standard and concession rates available for community members, as well as allied health rates for folks attending this workshop for professional development.
This workshop will be recorded and sent to folks who are not able to make it live on the day.
There is no pressure to have your webcam turned on, and you are welcome to participate in however feels comfortable for you.
